For far too long law firms have been operating in their own vacuum competing with each other but failing to take action and defend themselves against other non-regulated marketing organisations who continue to chip away at their traditional sources of work.
Law firms seem to have abandoned hope of becoming the first port of call for vendors of residential property and have failed to take advantage of HIPs as a means to increase profit and gain early access to potential clients.
Why pay large sums to panel managers and claims farmers?
Because there’s no alternative?
Now there is!
NSA believes that only by working together can these problems be overcome.
If you would like to see ‘Claims Farmers’ and ‘Panel Managers’ become a thing of the past?
If you want to protect your market read on....
We created NSA to provide a platform to enable more firms to work effectively with their local competitors and increase profit, cut costs and run their practices more efficiently.
We think that for far too long practices have not co-operated in promoting their services effectively and this has allowed middlemen, claims farmers and panel mangers to infiltrate our sector and effectively steal our clients and sell them back to us, adding nothing but in the process increasing our costs and reducing our margins. We also think that by and large many practices are not good at practice planning and risk management and membership is one way of addressing these issues.
We have two levels of membership; Member and Associate
Members obtain access to:
• Our experience in setting up groups of law firms to work together by providing an agenda, constitution, marketing materials and protocols.
• We also provide a method of streamlining their conveyancing procedures by developing local protocols and agreements.
• Lead generation from local marketing
• A free local group NSA website managed by your own local group to market their services and form part of a national network increasing internet visibility for all members and supported by NSA
• Use of the NSA brand
In addition, there are also a number of practical cost saving benefits available to both Members AND Associates which include:
1. Free telephone calls to all UK based legal organisations.
2. Exclusive 10% discount of first title indemnity insurance premiums ordered online through the NSA website.
3. 10% off digital dictation services via Document Direct.
4. The NSA recruitment site to which vacancies can be posted.
5. An inter-firm referral network site which will enable member firms to refer to each other on a fixed profit share agreement thus ensuring legal enquiries are kept in the local area and both referrer and referee benefit.
6. ‘In house’ HIP production software at discounted rates
7. Conveyancing workflow software at discounted rate
8. Access to planning resources and a risk management programme which, if used, will together with group negotiating strength lead to reduced PI insurance premiums for group members
9. Mergers and acquisition listing service
10. Free Newsletter and access to NSA forum
The full membership package is suitable for those practices who see the benefits of working together to promote and market the ‘local solicitor’ whilst the associate level accommodates those who are less interested in group marketing but who still want to access the other cost savings and income generating benefits that membership brings. If practices want an organisation to ‘fight their corner’, fight back against the panels and claims farmers and provide some protection against ‘supermarket law’ they will have to do something themselves and not expect it to drop in their lap. NSA provide the framework within which they can forge such an organisation.
The time to take action is now!
